Looking at the Awesome Dubai Airline Lounges in March

We will be headed to Dubai in March on UA for a long 4-day mileage run. Dubai is rich in luxury entertainment and leisure brands, and as one of the world’s fastest growing tourist destinations and an economy that shows continuous growth, it isn’t surprising that Dubai International AirportDubai-International-Airport is ranked the Fourth busiest in the world (in terms of passengers), and its still growing! With an annual capacity of over 60 million passengers, DXB is the UAE’s largest airport. I have been told that the airline lounges are excellent, especially the Emirates Lounge. Located in Terminal 1 between gates 108 and 110, the airport lounge earned recognition at the Lounge of the Year 2011 awards and you can experience the refreshments, TVs, showers and Wi-Fi 24 hours a day. Elsewhere in the terminal is one of the two Marhaba VIP airport lounges, which is also open for 24 hours and is located between gates 123 and 125. Once their, members can enjoy alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks, tv, telephones, newspapers, Wi-Fi and much more.

Doing our home work, we have learned that the Dubai International Business Class lounge, located in Terminal 1 at Gate C8, is for Business Class passengers whose airlines do not have their own dedicated lounges as well as approved card holders (I am a Gold Mileage plus — woo hoo! — United Airlines flies out of Terminal 1). With a seating capacity of 185, the facilities include spacious luggage area; six work stations with high speed internet connection; wireless internet facility; flight information screens; two shower stalls with amenities; one sleeping room with shower as well as smoking and quiet rooms. They also have the Timeless Spa in the Business Class Lounge, which provides a wide range of signature treatments – from beauty and massage therapies to hairstyling. All of these services are available to guests at a nominal fee.

On this mileage run, we’ll be looking for an oasis of peace and calm away from the busy terminal so the Dubai airport lounge is the perfect setting for a truly luxurious and relaxing pre-flight getaway. The hustle and bustle within Dubai International airport can be overwhelming so it’s good to know you can escape the noise and crowds in the exceptional environment of a Dubai airport lounge. Airport lounges in Dubai are synonymous with the opulence and luxury associated with this Middle Eastern country, so we will be able to enjoy the first class experience without being a first class passenger.

We will be able to stretch out on a comfy sofa while being served with drinks and snacks to recharge our batteries. Not just for business class travelers as the name suggests, the popular and stylish Business Class Lounge serves terminal 1 and is located between gates 108 and 110. This lounge is available to travelers using any airline or class of flight. Open 24 hours with shower facilities and free alcoholic beverages, soft drinks and snacks, the lounge also offers a separate smoking area. They also have a First Class Lounge which is truly is a first class facility that offers an array of food and beverages with facilities to shower, store luggage or conduct business. The First Class Lounge is a place where you can get lost in all the luxuries Dubai International has to offer.

Emirates has now opened its 2nd dedicated First Class Lounge at Dubai Airport Terminal 3 making it the 4th dedicated premium Emirates Lounge in Dubai.
