Jet Blue Says FREE Wi-Fi in the Air!

Did you hear about the launch of JetBlue’s new Fly-Fi service.  Fly-Fi is now available on a very limited number of JetBlue aircraft, and they’re working hard to install this new service across our fleet as quickly as possible.  The airline has partnered with LiveTV and Via Sat to launch high-speed broadband via satellite connectivity. For now, the service is available on three A320’s with plans to expand to the rest of the Airbus fleet throughout 2014 and then the E190’s.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the captain has
turned on the Fly-Fi sign. Please feel free
to roam about the Internet.”

The rumors are true – JetBlue’s Fly-Fi is real broadband Internet in the sky! This onboard innovation, brought to you by our partnership with LiveTV, delivers a robust online experience much like you would expect at home or work.

Fly-Fi is now available on a very limited number of JetBlue aircraft, and we’re working hard to install this new service across our fleet as quickly as possible. While we’re in our beta period, our basic web browsing plan, Simply Surf, will be free on flights through June 2014 with a high-bandwidth plan available for purchase.    You can find out which flights will operate with WiFi on the BlueTales Blog here
