Paris has always been one of our favorite cities. There is nothing more sensually fulfilling than spending a day shopping in old Parisian speciality shops, filling up your basket with cheese and bread and reveling in the realization that some things like Paris are popular for a reason. BUt now, you can take it in from your laptop or phone as the Paris en Images website now offers free access to over 120,000 photographs from the collections of the City of Paris, including the archives of Roger-Viollet, the collections of the Paris Historical Library, the City Hall Library, Forney Arts Library, Musee Carnavalet and photographer Pierre Jahan, among others. Best of all, the website and individual photo descriptions are available in English. You can search, browse by theme, or even order prints of your favorites.
